Rihanna Underwear Brand Financing $50 Million, Rap Star Jay-Z Participation

In August 27th, the underwear brand Savage x Fenty, founded by American music queen Rihanna (Rihanna), announced a new round of financing of US $50 million. New York private equity fund Avenir Growth Capital, the famous rap Jay-Z Jay-Z founded the venture capital agency Marcy Venture Partners Venture.

Coupled with the previous $20 million financing, the brand has accumulated a total of $70 million in financing. It is worth mentioning that when the record company Def Jam Records signed a contract with Rihanna in 2000, Jay-Z was then the chairman of the board of directors of the company.

In 2018, Rihanna and fashion electronics company TechStyle Fashion Group reached women's underwear cooperation. A few weeks later, Rihanna launched the Savage x Fenty new series of underwear through the photo social networking platform Instagram.

In May 2018, Savage x Fenty was launched, covering bra, knickers, corsets, tulle jumpsuits, bathrobes, accessories and other underwear products. These products can be purchased individually, and they also offer $50 / year paid member selection to enjoy new products such as advance purchase, exclusive limited products, free distribution and refund.

Rihanna has become a hot cross-border star and entrepreneur in many fields such as cross-border music, fashion and beauty. It has been dubbed "Rihanna that can bring fire to all". She was recently named the world's richest female musician by Forbes magazine.

In May of this year, Rihanna jointly launched the luxury clothing brand Fenty with LVMH, a luxury group in France.
