US Import Quota For Upland Cotton In November 10Th

The US Agriculture Bureau commodity credit company announced special import quotas for cotton, allowing imports to be equivalent to the weekly consumption of domestic factories.

The quota will be established in November 10, 2011, allowing 14594057 kilograms (67030 bales) of land cotton to be imported.


The operation was carried out under the authorization of PL 110-246, established in June 18, 2008, if the US Far East.

Price

This special import quota will be implemented for four weeks in a row.

The conditions for a four week deadline will end today.


By November 10, 2011, 112 of the quota will be established and will be applied to upland cotton no later than February 7, 2012.

Purchase

The time of arrival in the United States is not later than May 7, 2012.

The quota is roughly equivalent to the weekly consumption of domestic factories in the United States.


The quotas announced were implemented on the basis of the 6301 and the 6948 presidential bulletins issued in October 29, 1996, promulgated in June 7, 1991.


This quota does not distinguish villi length or origin, but does not apply to super long staple cotton.

The number of quotas determined does not enforce the quota tariff rate in the quota tariff rate.

Quotas will not affect the existing tariff rate or phytosanitary regulations.

If the price conditions are proved, the quota quantity announced today will be established.
